We all know it can be a little daunting hiring anything for the first time, but when hiring our vehicle mounted access platforms there really is no need to worry.
Here is what you can expect when picking one up for the first time on a self-drive basis.
Step 1
From 7:30am our offices are open.
Firstly, a member of staff will run through the hire details with you and answer any questions that you may have.
If you choose to use your own insurance to cover the vehicle, then we’ll ask to store an up-to-date copy on our system. This is best resolved prior to collection, but can be sorted on the day if you’d rather bring in a copy with you.
Otherwise, you will be defaulted to our Collision Damage Waiver – more details at the bottom.
Step 2
A qualified IPAF Demonstrator is always available to conduct a full handover familiarisation with you, for as long as you need.
Step 3
With the legs stowed our units drive like a normal vehicle, so hop in, get the radio playing – and head off to site. Don’t forget though, engineer support is always available; so don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Collision Damage Waiver
If you choose to use our CDW (Accidental Damage & Theft cover), then please make sure that you bring in your Driving License (card section) and National Insurance number. Alternatively, you can acquire a temporary Driver Code from the DVLA which we can use to check your license.
The criteria in order for us to cover you:
. No Bans or Exclusions within the last 5 years
. No more than 6 points (although we can still hire to you)
. Driving for more than 1 year
. Over the age of 23
Cancellations
As long as you cancel before 4:30pm the working day before then there’ll be no charge, whatsoever. Thereafter, it’s £99 (+ vat).
