Smart Platform Rental Ltd, the UK’s largest provider of light truck mount self drive rental platforms, has recently announced two accreditations in the fields of health & safety and service delivery. Both were carefully selected from the large market of certification now available to be of particular benefit to their clients.
As members of the Safe Contractor scheme (Member No. 704207390) Smart’s health and safety materials and accreditations will now be available to members of this widely used scheme when looking for contractors who provide cherry picker rental or IPAF training. ‘Prospects and clients alike will of course see that Smart has the correct level of health and safety procedures in place but just as importantly they’ll see this documentation in the way that they are familiar with for the rest of their supply chain.’ stated Guy Willett, Smart’s Commercial Director.
Additionally, the company have been a member of IPAF since Smart’s inception in 2002 but have now been accredited with Rental Plus status (Cert. No. R000010196). The Rental Plus audit process is based on an independent assessment of all of the fundamental elements of a rental company and the standards of service the company provides, with close monitoring of customer service, safety, staff training and cherry picker inspection procedure. ‘Prospects and clients need to know that the sector expertise we have is of a high level and only a sector specific audit can determine this.’ said Willett.
The complementary nature of these two accreditations Willett believes will assist prospects and clients in using Smart in the future. ‘We feel that many clients will come across us through the Safe Contractor channel and they will naturally want further proof of our capabilities in the powered access field. The Rental Plus accreditation will provide this evidence of our consistently high level of service delivery.’ stated Willett.
