Fleet Insurance Policy

To place our platforms on your policy you should confirm with your fleet insurance provider whether it can be placed inclusively or by exception. If by exception, we will provide you with registration and value. To finalise the process Smart will need to see a copy of the fleet policy or cover note faxed for us approve.

Collision Damage Waiver

Using our waiver will provide you with fully comprehensive road going cover while driving and against accidental damage to the boom whilst using the platform (damage to third party property is covered by your public liability insurance). A full set of terms conditions, including exclusions, are provided with each hire (also available on request). 

For each person who will drive our truck mounts they need to be registered on our hire systems. To fulfil this each person needs to submit their driving licence (both parts). Licences can be provided on the day of the hire or faxed/e-mailed prior to hire for pre-authorisation but still need to be seen on the day of hire. Please note, in the case of 7.5 tonne truck mounts Category C licenses are required. 

Applicants with full UK current licences submitted with less than six points and over 25 years of age will be likely to be accepted under standard policy. Higher levels of endorsements may still be accepted subject to special conditions
